The Opportunity
TPI took over as Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor partway through the development of a four-bedroom farmhouse and equestrian centre. The farmhouse was completed as a spacious home with an outdoor pool, detached pool house and high-quality finishes throughout. After the completion of the first property, TPI continued working with the client to convert an existing barn into a three-bedroom home, carefully balancing original character with modern living standards. A new two-bedroom staff house was also delivered on site, designed in keeping with the rest of the estate using locally sourced materials.
The Challenges
Taking over mid-project meant getting up to speed quickly with the team and build process to keep everything on track. The site’s location within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty brought environmental requirements that shaped how the work was carried out. The barn conversion also needed thoughtful planning to retain its original features while making it work as a comfortable, modern home.
The Outcome
The estate was delivered to a high standard, with all properties completed and occupied. Each element of the site was delivered to reflect the client’s brief, with consistent detailing and a clear architectural identity across the farmhouse, barn and supporting buildings.
