Project Management

The Opportunity

This project presented the client a unique opportunity to enhance the plant's operational efficiency and capacity. TPI were engaged to provide on-site project management support to Stadler UK Ltd, coordinating the fit-out works and ensuring smooth delivery. The installation of a new Lindner Shredder, associated distribution and feeding conveyors, a robust supporting steel structure, and a state-of-the-art fire detection and suppression system significantly improved the plant’s processing capabilities. The upgrade not only boosted productivity but also ensured higher safety standards and reliability.

The Challenges

Coordinating the integration of these complex systems required meticulous planning and precise execution to ensure seamless operation. The installation took place in a live industrial environment with high ambient temperatures, demanding strict safety compliance and minimal disruption to ongoing operations. TPI had to manage communication across multiple teams and stakeholders while maintaining quality and programme control.

The Outcome

The successful execution of the project positioned Oakleaf as a leader in RDF fuel production, demonstrating a commitment to innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence. TPI provided on-site project management in support of Stadler’s Principal Contractor role, assisting with coordination, safety compliance, certification checks, and daily progress reporting. Their oversight helped ensure the two-week programme was completed safely, on time, and to a high standard. The upgraded facility now operates with enhanced efficiency and long-term reliability.
