The Opportunity
This development site provided an opportunity to transform an existing, vacant space, to create much needed, high-quality housing in a location which is a 10-minute walk from Sheffield city centre, benefitting from 270-degree views across the cityscape and moorlands.
The Challenges
The logistics of working alongside existing, occupied properties on neighbouring streets presented challenges during the build process, with deliveries needing to be carefully scheduled to avoid busy periods, as the site location meant that it could only be accessed from one side of the existing street. Regular communication was required with the local community in order to ensure good neighbourly relations were maintained throughout the construction period.
The Outcome
The project successfully delivered a new neighbourhood of modern, energy-efficient homes with generous layouts and high-quality finishes. Located just outside Sheffield city centre, the properties benefit from elevated views, private gardens, and, in some cases, roof terraces designed to make the most of the surrounding landscape.
