The Opportunity
This project is part a wider portfolio of high-quality retirement living facilities across the UK. The integrated retirement community offers purpose-built homes and facilities for older residents, providing luxury amenities and 24/7 support services allowing residents complete security whilst living independently. The combination of flats and bungalows will allow for a mix of access needs, supporting residents in their retirement. The project includes extensive hard and soft landscaping to create an aesthetic surrounding garden and allotment space for residents.
The Challenges
The site came with an existing planning consent that had been granted over a decade ago. As part of the current works, the team has revisited the original permission to bring the proposals in line with modern development standards and expectations. Site access is via a residential street, which continues to require careful coordination to manage vehicle movements and minimise disruption to neighbours as construction progresses.
The Outcome
Phase 1 is due for completion in June 2026 with the balance of the bungalows in early 2027, the successful delivery of this project will provide quality retirement homes for Shropshire residents. It will pave the way for upcoming projects across the UK, such as villages in Crawley and Eastbourne, which TPI are currently assisting Untold Living on.
